Organic Gunpowder green tea is steamed, and rolled into small balls, then dried. Traditionally this was done by hand. Rolling tea leaves into small balls prior to drying provides protection to the leaf and extends the shelf life of some Gunpowder teas for many years. Smaller, tight, bright pellets are best when considering Gunpowder teas.
